This is a large, productive operation based in one of Northland’s best dairying districts – Ruawai. With 272 hectares of flat, fertile, marine clay soils this platform seamlessly converts grass into milk exceeding 1,000 kgMS/ha. With additional land 820 cows will be milked for next season.


The property is tidy and well resourced with a high standard of farm

infrastructure. Central racing, a 50 bale rotary dairy with Alpha Laval plant


and Protrack, and feed pad completes the package. Feed inputs comprise pit silage, maize and PKE at levels ranging between 500 and 700 kgDM/cow



A spring calving system will operate for next season then moving to split calving with 250 autumn calving cows and 550 springs. Production targeted is 279,000 kgMS for 2012/2013.

This can be either a Contract Milking arrangement or Farm Management
